The Sea of Sun

The Sea of Sun is an enormous volume of coloured points in space arranged in patterns and images. The images are family portraits from the artist's life. First made in 1992 it was last exhibited in Lisbon in 2000 since when it has lain, compressed, in storage. In 2014 it was unfurled and added to with a sequence of new patterns and a set of portraits of new members of the artist's family, his three children and his life partner, Laura Ford. The work is now permanently installed at their studio in West Sussex and can be experienced by appointment.
